Adam Erndt Saginaw, Michigan
Passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2016, after enjoying 94 years of life. He was born in Reese on June 3, 1922, son of the late Jacob and Barbara (Young) Erndt. Adam married Zelma Douglas, the love of his life, on February 9, 1946. They celebrated 53 years of marriage. She predeceased him on February 8, 1999. He retired from Consumers Power Company after many years of service.
Surviving are his children, Judy (Ralph) Rood, Joann (Gary) Gilman and Roy (Nancy) Erndt; his dearly loved grandchildren, Jody Spencer, Ralph Rood Jr., Caroline (Kim) Rood, Rebecca (Greg) Frank, Jennifer (Adam) Morris, Andrew (Jessica) Rood, Gary (Katie) Gilman, Stacie (Jeff) Karow and Stefanie Erndt-Shooks; 21 great grandchildren, who all knew him as their Big Papa; one sister, Helen Ruth; his sisters-in-law, Evelyn Erndt, Mary Joan Douglas and Betty Douglas, also many other special relative, friends and his dearest friend, Karin Ryder. Besides his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Joe, Max and Christopher Erndt; his sisters, Mary Chernow, Katherine Erndt, Margaret Bailey, Teresa Stahr and Clara White-Parent and their spouses.
Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon, at W. L. Case and Company 4480 Mackinaw Road. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the American Diabetes Association.
