Our loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, on Wednesday, February 9, 2022. Age 94 years.
Adeline was born on October 8, 1927, daughter of the late Juanita (Tuttle) and Frederick Partlo, in Akron, Michigan. She married Richard O. Louks on February 26, 1949. He predeceased her on May 1, 2012. A hard-working and dedicated civil servant, she worked for the post office until retiring in 1987. Loved dearly by her family and friends, Adeline was a strong, caring, and compassionate woman who enjoyed spending her spare time bowling on her league, testing her knowledge at Jeopardy, playing a game of Euchre, or piecing together a challenging puzzle. She was active in her church community and women's group and loved traveling to visit family and see new places. She was always determined to learn new things and connect with others. She also enjoyed a spirited game of Trivial Pursuit, and she might just let you win on occasion. There were many Wii Bowling game nights in recent years with her friends, including her special friend Jerry Scanlon. Her kind, thoughtful demeanor and servant's heart were always on display. Adeline will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
Adeline is survived by her four children, Gregory (Julie) Louks, Brian (Dorothy) Louks, Scott (Sheri) Louks, Robert (Melanie) Louks; grandchildren, AnnJanette (Matthew) Toth, Krysten Cormier, Teresa (Dale) Anderson, Martha Louks, Aaron (Shannon) Louks, Hannah (Joe) Palac, Emma (Philip) Michels, Carl (Lauren) Louks, Carolyn (Thomas) Peeler, and 12 great grandchildren whom she loved. She was predeceased by her daughters, Cathy (Malcolm) Cormier and Judy Kasper.
