Agnes K. Smith (Kricher)

Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt passed away peacefully at home with her kids by her side on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at the age of 86 years.

The daughter of the late Alex and Mary Kricher was born on September 19, 1937, in Hemlock and was raised on a farm with her 17 brothers and sisters in Hemlock, Mi.

Agnes adored and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, loved going to the casino; shopping, attending auctions, traveling with her daughter, and camping with her family. Agnes always had a sweet demeanor, laughed a lot, and cared very deeply for her family and friends.

Residing in Hemlock are her three children, Connie M. Smith, William C. (Bonnie) Smith, Tracy (Tom) Wren, stepdaughter, Robin (Mark) Chaffin, Rives Junction, MI.; grandchildren, Chase Smith, Nicholas Broughton, Paris Wren, Mooringsport, LA, and great-grandchildren: Luna and Vega Wren.

Agnes also leaves two brothers, Larry and Jerry Kricher, and one sister-in-law, Betty Kricher and many nieces and nephews. Agnes was predeceased by her siblings: Joseph Kricher, Oliver Kricher, Laverne (Virginia) Kricher, Albert (Ann) Kricher, Pete Kricher, Aaron (Elaine) Kricher, Holly Kricher, Gerald Kricher, Francis Kricher, Pauline Michels, Geraldine Kricher, Joyce Kricher, Christine (John) VanSlooten, and Isabelle (Ed) Marko.

Funeral service will take place at 12:00pm on Tuesday, November 28^th, 2023, at St. John XXIII Parish, St. Mary Catholic Church, 151 St. Mary Dr., Hemlock MI 48626. Rev. Fr. Michael F. Steltenkamp, S.J. will officiate with burial to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the church from 10:00am until the time of service.
