Aida Esther Velez

Aida Velez Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Sunday July 28, 2019 at St. Marys of Michigan at the age of 88 years. Aida was born November 15, 1930 in Humacao, Puerto Rico, the daughter of the late Abraham and Ana Maria (Reyes) Velez. She married Julio Cuadrado her husband of 68 years; he predeceased her April 23, 2016. Aida had a great sense of humor along with a green thumb, she enjoyed gardening and loved cooking for family and friends.

Surviving are four children and their spouses, Betsy and Luis Ortiz; Jose and Margie Cuadrado; Ana Cuadrado; and Edwin and Nannette Cuadrado; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, her siblings, Nereida Hernandez, Isabel Rodriguez, Carmen Panos, Elba True; nieces and nephews. Aida was predeceased by a son Victor Manuel Velez, three siblings Gloria Rodriguez, Ismael Velez and Maria Acosta.

Funeral service will take place 1:00 p.m. Thursday August 1, 2019 at the W.L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel , 4480 Mackinaw Rd. with burial to follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
