Alan "Al-Z" E. Buschmann of Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved brother, cousin, and friend passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at Covenant HealthCare - Cooper. He was 61 years old. Alan E. Buschmann was born on June 19, 1960, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Richard and Henrietta (Zessin) Buschmann. He was a graduate of Arthur Hill High School and attended Delta College where he studied engineering. Alan worked various janitorial positions throughout his life, as well as maintaining lawns. He was a faithful member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church where he actively volunteered in maintaining the lawn and church properties. He was a sports aficionado and enjoyed watching all sports on television, if it had a ball or puck, Alan was watching. He will forever be remembered for his passion for sports and for his quiet disposition that didn't seek acknowledgement for helping others.

Surviving are four brothers: Ross R. Buschmann of Saginaw; Bruce A. Buschmann of Saginaw; Mark H. (Gay) Buschmann of Fremont; Earl O. Buschmann. Also surviving are an aunt and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Henrietta Buschmann.

A funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, 1020 Court Street. Pastor David Naumann will officiate. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Friends are welcome to visit at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road on Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church or the American Diabetes Association.
