Our little princess started her journey into the spirit world with her daughter Kira Lynn Nichols on Sunday, November 20th, 2022, at the age of 27. Alanna was born on November 2nd, 1995, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Matthew Sr. & Della (Halliwill) Brandel, and was a 2013 graduate of Reese High School. She was previously employed by Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort. In her free time, Alanna enjoyed watching movies, walking the rail trail, and spending time with her friends and family that so cherished her company. She also had a special affinity for her cats, especially Keke. She is remembered as being thoughtful, giving, and bubbly, and as someone who always had a contagious smile on her face. She always put others before herself and the last words she said to you would always be “I love you.”
Alanna is survived by her parents Della and Matthew Brandel; siblings Bri-Anna Anderson and Matthew Brandel, Jr.; soulmate for life Austin Nichols; grandparents Edsel Brandel, Sr., and Mary Graveratte; aunts and uncles Levi (Deb) Halliwill, Jr., Marla Blumberg, Lorraine (Troy) Hoyt, Billie (Michael) Halliwill-San Miguel, Craig (Kelly) Graveratte, Glenna Halliwill, Christina (Eugene) Sharp, Estella Halliwill, and Edsel Brandel, Jr.; and special niece and nephew Hayden and Carsen Nemeth; as well as many cousins, other family members, friends, and her special friends Abby and Audra.
Alanna was preceded in death by her grandparents Levi Halliwill, Sr., and Pamela Brandel; and uncle James Halliwill, Sr.
The family would like to give special thanks to the Fire Keeper, her beloved cousin Anthony Halliwill.
Funeral Services for Alanna will take place at 4:00pm on Sunday, November 27th, 2022, at W.L.
