Born in Munger, Michigan to a farm family with 13 children. In WWII he was wounded, being awarded both the Silver Star and Purple Heart. He lived most of his adult life in Alma, Michigan. He worked as a hand tool grinder for Garr Tool Company, retiring as one of the founding workers, with his brother. Albert was a member of the First Church of God, Alma. Among many activities, he was especially proud and remembered by those in the community for promoting and running the bus ministry with his wife. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He was an avid gardener and outdoorsman. He spent several winters snow birding to Michigan/Florida. In later years, he enjoyed shuffle boarding in Mt. Pleasant and playing euchre at Senior Citizens Organizations in Michigan & Indiana. He moved to Indianapolis, Indiana to live with his daughter Jean until his death. Albert is survived by Linda Gulledge of Alma, Michigan; Jean Graham of Indianapolis, Indiana, and 5 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Gladys of 49 years, his son Ronald (Rachel) Geiersbach of Roanoke, Virginia, his dear friend Louise Griffith, two brothers and two sisters.
