Albert August Rohn
Hemlock, Michigan
Beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away on Monday, April 25, 2022 with his family at his side; at the age of 83 years.
The son of the late Arthur Rohn and Esther (Roggow) Vogtmann, Albert was born on August 14, 1938 in Saginaw, Michigan. He graduated from Hemlock High School with the class of 1957. Albert served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Arlene Bohn, they shared 62 wonderful years together; she survives him. Albert was the Maintenance Supervisor at MBS International Airport for 40 years of loyal and dedicated service. He was a lifetime member of Zion Lutheran Church. Albert enjoyed golfing, softball, bowling, fishing and camping. Above all, Albert cherished the time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Surviving besides his wife: Arlene Rohn; are his son, daughter and their spouses: Mike and Stephanie Rohn; Tracy and Greg Mallek; grandchildren: Emilie Rohn, Grace Rohn, Gabrielle Rohn, Kahl Mallek, Jaedyn Mallek; his sister: Carolyn Sutton; sisters-in-law: Carol (Roger) Salisbury, Bernice (Donald) Beach. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Albert was preceded in death by his son: Thomas “Toby” Rohn; brother and sister: Arthur Rohn Jr., Diane Bechtel.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Care Team Hospice, especially to Jennifer Roberts for her kind and compassionate care of Albert.
Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at Zion Lutheran Church, 17927 Dice Road, Hemlock, Michigan 48626. Rev. Paul A. Hauser will officiate with burial to follow at Richland Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 29, 2022 at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Road, Saginaw, Michigan 48609; and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Saturday. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Zion Lutheran Church or the American Lung Association.
