Albert P. Wardin (Paul) Hemlock, Michigan Passed away Tuesday, January 03, 2017. Age 79 years. The son of the late Lenora K. (Dietrich) and Albert Paul Wardin was born August 2, 1937 in Hemlock, Michigan. He married Sara J. Thomas, February 4, 1961. She survives him. Paul was a Dairy Farmer. His proudest professional accomplishment was being the breeder of the Holstein bull, Wardin Bell Gene. He was an active member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, where he served as a Trustee, on the Finance Committee and as an usher. He was an avid sports fan, particularly the Detroit Tigers, and enjoyed bowling. Surviving besides his wife, Sara, are three daughters, one son and their spouses, Sue and David Patton; Betsy and Jason Savage; Dr. Paul Albert and Heidi Wardin; Melissa and Thomas Sebold; six grandchildren, Will Patton and his wife, Jade; Zachary Patton; Mitchell and Amanda Hare; Gracie and Gabe Wardin; three great grandchildren, Chloe and Riley Patton; Jerzey Mae Hare; a sister-in-law, Carol Wardin; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, one sister and their spouses, Carl and Bonnie Wardin; Wilma and Bob Chambers; Wilferd Wardin and several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 6, 2017, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 2461 N. Raucholz Rd. Hemlock. The Rev. Dr. William L. Morris and Rev. Richard E. Mundt will officiate with burial in Richland Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday and then on Friday at the Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
