Albert “Al” Dale Hill Jr. of San Fernando Valley, CA and Saginaw, Michigan
Beloved brother, uncle, cousin, and friend passed away at his home on Wednesday, June 2, 2021. He was 70 years old. Albert Dale Hill Jr. was born on March 29, 1951, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Albert Dale and Bessie Marie (Smith) Hill, Sr. He was a proud graduate of Cleveland High School in Reseda, CA. Following graduation, he attended college for a couple of years then decided to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Air Force serving during the Vietnam War until his honorable discharge. Upon his return, Albert resided in Michigan for a short period of time then traveled back West to California where he lived a majority of his life. He worked as a welder for over 40 years until his retirement. Albert was an artistic and creative man finding enjoyment creating ceramics pieces and attending conferences and craft shows. He created many beautiful pieces. Albert enjoyed gardening, camping, and fishing. He will forever be remembered for his love and devotion to his family and friends.
Surviving are a sister, Patti Jane Hall of Saginaw; very special nieces and nephews: Teresa (Art) Podgurski, Tammie (Ronald Hartman) Hall, Alexis (Steven Gawlik) Hall, Alyssa (Austin Hathon) Hall, Alayna (Matt Dennings) Hall, Adriana (Aliyah Mendez) Hall, Alexzander Hall, John Leslie (Colleen Hickey) Hill II, Crystel Hill, Donald Jay (Katrina) Hill II, Amy Lynn Hill, and Michael (Meghan) Hill; many great-nieces and nephews, one great-great-niece; two special cousins, Valarie (Barry) Graham and Paul Weber. Also surviving are many additional cousins, extended family, and friends.
He was preceded in death by two brothers: Donald Jay (Pamela) Hill, Sr., John Leslie Hill; brother-in-law, James “Jimmy” Hall.
Honoring Al’s wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
