Rodriguez, Alejandro F. "Hondo" Saginaw, Michigan Beloved father, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend, passed away suddenly Tuesday, February 16, 2016, at the age of 45 years. He was born July 3, 1970, in Saginaw, the son of the late Antonio C. and Carmen (Valdez) Rodriguez. He co-owned Hondo's Bar with his sister. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He loved sports, especially Red Wings Hockey. He loved to cook, eat good food, and wanted to learn to bake. He especially loved time spent with his beloved son, Antonio, who survives him. He also leaves his sisters, Cristina and Todd Stacy, and Ernestina Rodriguez; his nieces and nephews, Tony "Vivo", Andrea (Jon), Eric (Shana), Daniel II, Daniella, Elleceia, and Monte; great-nieces and great-nephews, Little Hondo, Miguel, Zechariah, Jackson, Kaleigh, Analeceia, Marcelis, Malik, and Adelaide; loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Besides his parents Antonio and Carmen, he was predeceased by his brother and sister, Daniel Rodriguez and Stella Rodriguez, and by many aunts and uncles. Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 25, 2016, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 915 N. 6th Avenue. Rev. Fr. Frank Voris, OFM, Cap., will officiate with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. His family will receive friends at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, from 2:00 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and from 2:00 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, where a Parish Vigil service will take place at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday. Family and friends may then gather at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
