Alexander "Alex" Jacob Murillo of Saginaw, Michigan
Beloved father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday, February 24, 2022. He was 29 years old. Alex "Al" was born on August 8, 1992, in Saginaw, Michigan to Valarie Shook and the late Robert J. Murillo. While in school, Alex met his longtime girlfriend and lifelong companion, Molli Martin. Together they had two beautiful children, Marci and Levi; Molli passed away on April 21, 2020. Alex was employed with Premier Automotive working as an electrician for several years. He enjoyed playing video games where he could use his intellect, competitiveness, and focus to succeed on every game he played. Alex was a great communicator, very social, and loved spending time with family and attending family gatherings. Above all he loved and cherished his family, especially his children. He will forever be remembered for his quick wit and intellect, his wonderful sense of humor and ability to make others laugh, and for his ability to use humor to connect with everyone he loved.
Surviving are two children: Marci Lorin Murillo of Saginaw; Levi Skye Murillo of Saginaw; mother, Valarie (John) Jones of Saginaw; brother, Robert (Molly) Murillo Saginaw; sister, Christina (Matthew Casarez) Murillo of Canton, bonus sister, Sunny (Kyle)Hickmott of Bay City; grandmother, Marcelina Murillo of Saginaw; grandfather, Roger Shook of Saginaw; three special aunts, Amy (Damon) Burkhart of Clinton Township; Sarah Murillo of Saginaw; Judy Stricker of Saginaw; Also surviving are many additional aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
He was preceded in death by grandfather, Robert Murillo; grandmother, Marge Shook.
A Funeral Service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at Saginaw First Assembly of God, 4570 Mackinaw Road. Pastor Kurt Cullison will officiate. Honoring Alex's wishes cremation will follow the service. Friends are welcome to gather with the family at the church on Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. (Noon) until the time of the service.
