Allen C. Balcer

Balcer, Allen C. Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc, following a lengthy illness. Age 55 years. He was born January 21, 1961, in Flint, the son of the late William and Gearldene (Knight) Balcer. He graduated from Atherton High School with the Class of 1980. He had been employed as an optician, working for various eyeglass companies and private doctors. He was a member of the Lutheran Faith. He loved hockey, especially the Red Wings, and also was a Detroit Tigers fan. He enjoyed going on cruises and to the casinos. Surviving are his long time significant other, Sue Rutherford, Saginaw; two step-daughters, Jennifer and Jason Trimble, Clio and Sarah Robinson, Las Vegas; two sisters and three brothers, Sharon Fielding, Birch Run; Clifford and Debra Balcer, Otisville; William and Laura Balcer, Burton; Gary Balcer, Otisville; Debra and Neil Warner, Sand Lake; 18 nieces and nephews and their families; two aunts, Juanita McCallie and Delores Riley; many other loving relatives and friends. Funeral service will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 3, 2016, at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road.
