Allen D. Wenzel

Wenzel, Allen D. Wheeler, Michigan Passed away Monday, November 4, 2013 at Mid-Michigan Medical Center, Alma, at the age of 69 years. Allen was born in Merrill, Michigan on November 9, 1943. He was the son of the late Mark and Marian (Schultz) Wenzel. He married Mary Ann Falkenberg on June 13, 1964 and she survives him. Allen was self employed as a farm drainage tile contractor in the area for many years. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his wife of 49 years, Mary, Allen is survived by two children, John (Tammy) Wenzel and Tracy (Udell) Hartman; six grandchildren, Samantha Castillo, John Wenzel, Jr., Jessica Wenzel, Matthew Castillo, Madison Castillo and Katelyn Castillo; six siblings, Lee "Peewee" (Linda) Wenzel, Joyce Wenzel, Joan(Dave) McKay, Maxine (Bruce) Rigg, Dennis Wenzel and Kevin Wenzel and his faithful dog, Tico. Allen was predeceased by an infant son, Joel Allen Wenzel. The funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 9, 2013 at W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, Merrill. Rev. Liz Long will officiate with cremation to follow. Friends may visit with the family at the chapel Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service.
