Allen V. Grames

Grames, Allen V. Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Saturday, September 14, 2013 at Healthsource of Saginaw, age 93 years. Allen was born in Saginaw, Michigan August 26, 1920 the son of the late George and Pearl (Clark) Grames. He married Mary Walker January 26, 1968. She predeceased him July 24, 2013. Allen served in the United States Navy on the U. S. S. Wasp which was sunk during World War II and was a member of the American Club and the VFW. He retired from Transcon after 40 years of services. Allen was a very talented musician, playing a variety of instruments, and forming a one-man band, called Me, Myself and I. He enjoyed boating and working on carpentry projects. Allen is survived by two children, Edward Grames and Sharon (George) Watt; four step-children, Carol (Ted) Mikula, George (Lori) Thomas, Don (Geri) Thomas and Hal (Nancy) Thomas; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Lorraine (Bruce) Ketzel and a step-daughter-in-law, Margie Thomas. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. No services are planned at this time.
