Amelia Marie Herbin Burrill

Passed away Saturday, Dec. 12, age 92 years. The daughter of the late George and Berta (Sundeck) Herbin was born August 20, 1928 in Saginaw, Michigan. She married Jack Burrill September 18, 1953. He predeceased her on January 27, 2000. Amelia worked for Consumers Power Company and Valley Drug. She loved to do crafts with her children and grandchildren and she was a Girl Scout and Cub Scout leader for several years. Amelia was an avid Euchre player and loved to knit and crochet gifts for her family and friends. Amelia was a wonderful cook especially known for her baked beans, sloppy joes and homemade noodles. She also loved to do crossword and word search puzzles in her later years.
Amelia leaves to cherish her memory her children, Nancy (Wayne) Neuroth, John Burrill, Terri Langschwager and Steven Burrill. She has 10 grandchildren, Eric, Matthew (Melissa) and Nicholas Andreychuk, Brianne Burrill-Lamblin, Amber (Randy) O’Leary, Haley (Ryan) Clark, Joseph Langschwager, Michael (Meghan) Langschwager, Timothy (Jen) Langschwager, and Scott Burrill. She also leaves 16 great-grandchildren and two on the way. Amelia is also survived by one brother Jim Herbin. Her parents and her sisters Shirley Davis, Mae Albee, Georgina Herbin, and June Buffington and one great granddaughter Anistyn predeceased her.
Burial has taken place. Her family wishes to thank the staff at Hoyt Nursing home in Saginaw for their wonderful care of Amelia. Memorials can be made to the Vassar United Methodist Church or a charity of your choice.
