Amy "Toots" Louise Maddox

Amy “Toots” Maddox, age 85, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend passed away on Saturday, August 14, 2021. Amy was born and raised in Saginaw, Michigan, and a member of First Presbyterian Church. She and her husband Jim loved spending time on their deck sipping a Miller Lite. Amy also loved spending time with family, taking shopping trips with her daughters, and taking walks. She loved her two cats: Bella and Lola. Amy was a wonderful bowler, and loved telling others that she even bowled on TV. She enjoyed playing golf and was an amazing pianist. Amy was an efficient, hard worker for Goulding Manufacturing, The Salvation Army, and Child and Family Services. Jim and Amy enjoyed meeting and welcoming people at the bars they owned: The Corner Lounge in Pinconning, Whittemore Hotel in Whittemore, and Benchwarmers in Hemlock. Her kind, welcoming smile, and hugs will be greatly missed.

Amy leaves behind her loving husband, Jim; daughter: Pam (John) Wilson, Kathy (Don) Williams, Lori (Kevin) Rathburn; stepchildren: Dawn Maddox, Nicole (Chuck) Rossio, and Brett Maddox; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Hazel Slocum; brother, Nate Slocum; sister, Lelah Slocum.

Per Amy’s wishes cremation has taken place with a private celebration honoring her life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to First Presbyterian Church.
