Andrew Lavern Anderson

Anderson, Andrew Lavern Saginaw, MI Passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at Saginaw Senior Care & Rehab Center at the age of 86 years. Andrew was born in Saginaw County May 31, 1928 the son of the late Andrew and Emma (Wahl) Anderson. He married Phyllis Dirker July 16, 1955. She predeceased him June 23, 2012. Andrew was a lifetime member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church in Saginaw. He served in the Corp of Engineers in the United States Army during the Korean War, attaining the rank of Sergeant. He worked at Baker Perkins as a welder for 41 years, retiring in 1987. He was an avid armchair sports fan of the Detroit Lions and Tigers. Andrew is survived by a son, Mark A. (Nancy Jo) Anderson; his daughter, Jane M. Anderson and a sister, Alice LaBeau. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by two brothers, Allen and Arthur and a sister, Betty. The funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 22, 2014 at W. L. Case & Company, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. David Naumann will officiate with private burial in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family at the chapel Sunday from 4:00 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service.
