Angelina Jimenez

Beloved sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend, passed away on Friday, November 18, 2022 at the age of 73 years.

The daughter of the late Adan and Leona Buitron was born on November 21, 1948, in Saginaw. She graduated from Buena Vista High School, Class of 1966. Angie retired from the Buena Vista School District after 26 years of service, devoted to helping her general and special education students. She loved BINGO and dancing to her favorite Tejano music, particularly her favorite song “La Charanga”.

Surviving are her brother Raymond Buitron, children; Jose Jimenez Jr. (Yolanda Jimenez), Jason Jimenez (Laura Jimenez) and Jina Garcia (Juan Garcia); grandchildren, Vida Cater, Jason O. Jimenez, Cecelia Jimenez, Kali Jimenez, Mia Jimenez, Jose Jimenez, III and Crystal Jimenez; great grandchildren. Cael, Cas, Clara and Christian and many, many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, in particular, longtime close friend, Honda Vargas. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by siblings, Connie (Richard) Castanon and Adam Buitron and sister-in-law, Kathy Buitron.

Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 2, 2022, at St. Joseph Parish, 910 North 6^th Avenue. Fr. Frank Voris, O.F.M. Cap will officiate with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may visit with family on Thursday, December 1, 2022, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m., with a prayer vigil at 6:30 p.m., at W.L. Case and Company, 5700 Dixie Highway and on Friday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
