Kragenbrink (Gnatkowski, Czuba), Ann H. Boyne City, Michigan Formerly of Houghton Lake and Shields, Michigan Passed away peacefully, Thursday, July 14, 2016, at the Brook of Boyne City with her family by her side. Age 88 years. Ann Helen Czuba was born July 11, 1928, to the late Andrew and Mary (Mikzos) Czuba, in St. Charles, Michigan. Ann was married to Paul Carl Kragenbrink, Jr., on February 28, 1949; he predeceased her April 7, 1984. Ann then married George Gnatkowski who predeceased her in 2010. Ann was a life-long member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. She was a former bus driver for 21 years with the Swan Valley Schools. She was a member of the American Legion Post #439, as well as the Washington Club. Ann was an avid bingo player and enjoyed knitting, quilting, cooking, camping, playing cards and reading. Surviving are one daughter, two sons, and their spouses: Gary (Venette) Kragenbrink, Colorado; Gail (Kirk) Halvorsen, Saginaw; Gerry (Kelly) Kragenbrink, Boyne City, Michigan. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren: Jennifer, Trina, Madisen, Justin, Derek, Tanner, Chase, Paul, Samantha, Tyler, Shallys, Chelsea, Allen, Alexis and James; also many great-grandchildren. She also leaves a daughter-in-law, Donna Gnatkowski, and in-laws, George Lorenz, Ella and Norbert Mose, Bob and Edward Kragenbrink; many nieces, nephews and their families. Besides her husbands and parents, Ann was predeceased by one daughter, Gina Marie, in 1969; a granddaughter, Kourtney Frick; also three sisters and two brothers: Sophia, Alex, Mary, Andrew Jr., and Dorothy, and by her beloved dog, Holly. Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2016, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 2035 N. River Road. Rev. Fr. Peter Gaspeny will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Saginaw. Family and friends may call at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Road, from 2:00 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 8:00 p.m. on Monday, where a parish vigil service will take place at 7:00 p.m. Monday. Family and friends may then gather at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. The family would like to thank the staff of the Brook of Boyne City and Vital Care Hospice Care.
