Ann Schomaker

Passed away Thursday, May 26, 2022, at her home. Age 86 years.
The daughter of the late Mabel (Kube) and Edwin Wietfeldt was born December 23, 1935 in Midland, Michigan. She married Dale E. Schomaker, October 22, 1955. He passed away December 21, 1995. She engaged in Farming with her husband all her life. She was an active lifelong member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, Hemlock, its Ladies Aid and quilting group. She enjoyed gardening, arts and crafts, quilting, making many World Relief quilts, sewing and made cakes for many people and occasions. She was a 4H and Brownie leader.
Surviving are 4 children and their spouses, Glenn Schomaker; Gerald and Kelly Schomaker; Marlene Schomaker; Steve and April Schomaker; six grandchildren, Andrew Schomaker; Sarah Strzyinski; Amanda and Michael Visnaw; Morgan and Nathan Locke; Sydney Schomaker; Sage Schomaker; 4 great grandchildren, Riley, Bella, Dexter and Hannah; seven brothers and sisters, Richard and Sally Wietfeldt; Harold and Angie Wietfeldt; Paul and Nancy Wietfeldt; Laura Estep; Mary Jo Wietfeldt; Lois Dietrich; Waldin Wietfeldt; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by an infant son, Carl David Schomaker and a sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Howard Sandow.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the kind and compassionate caregivers of Ann, especially Joyce Duve.
The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 2461 N. Raucholz Rd. Hemlock, Michigan. Rev. Dr. William L. Morris will officiate with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may visit with family at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Directors, 201 N. Miller Rd. from 2:00-9:00 p.m. Tuesday and then at the Church from 10:00 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the funeral service.
