Anna (Gaglio) DAngelo of Saginaw
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, passed away peacefully and went home to be with our Lord on Monday, November 4, 2019, with her family by her side. She was 96 years old. Anna Gagilo was born on August 5, 1923, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to the late Sam and Rose (Russo) Gaglio. She grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan, however, when she met her soul mate and the love of her life, Greg DAngelo, their journey moved to Saginaw where they would raise four loved and cherished daughters. Ann worked for Sears for over 20 years and often kept in contact with her work friends following her retirement. She was a faithful member of St. Dominic Parish, St. Stephen Catholic Church and volunteered her time and talent to the bereaved by providing funeral luncheons. Above all, Ann loved and treasured her family. She will forever be remembered for her indomitable spirit, her selflessness, and the love she had for family and friends.
Surviving are her husband of 72 years, Gregory DAngelo; daughters: Marian (David) Deyamond, Patricia DAngelo; son-in-law, Steve Cribbins; sister-in-law, Anna Thompson; eight grandchildren: Scott Burnell, Dena Burnell, Nick Burnell, Dimitri Cribbins, Gena Cribbins, Gabriel Cribbins, Ben (Vicki) Deyarmond, Joel (Liz) Deyarmond, Saasha (Bob) Dresen, Greg Deyarmond, Paul (Angela) DAngelo; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two daughters: Fran Burnell and Rose Cribbins.
A Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 7, 2019, at St. Dominic Parish, St. Stephen Catholic Church, 1310 Malzahn. Rev. Fr. William R. Taylor will officiate. Rite of Committal will follow at Oakwood Mausoleum. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. A Vigil Service will take place at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday evening led by Pastoral Minister, Sharon Wahl. Anna will lie in state at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Heartland Hospice.
