Anthony Bruce Cato Bay City, Michigan Passed away Friday, June 28, 2013, at the Aleda Lutz Veteran's Adm. Medical Center. Age 75 years. The son of the late Alfonso and Ruth (Finley) Cato was born, October 3, 1937, in Detroit, Michigan. He was educated in the Detroit Public Schools and was awarded a scholarship to attend Aero-Mechanics School. After graduation, Anthony served with the U. S. Navy for 4 years. He had worked for Sears-Roebuck and in the Medical Field. He later owned and operated the Gift Shop located in the Bay Valley Hotel and Resort. Surviving are his cherished and loving friend, Joan Chase; a son, Derrick Cato; a daughter-in-law, Kelly (Brian) Cato; his beautiful granddaughter, Delaney Chase; his sister, Dianne Dixon; his brother, Phillip (Carol ) Cato. He was predeceased by a son, Brian Cato and a brother, Michael Cato. The funeral service will take place at Noon Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Saginaw, MI. Rev. Rob Richards will officiate with Military burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery. Friends may call at the Chapel from 10:00 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the funeral service.
