Anthony C. Cherry, Jr.

Cherry, Jr., Anthony C. Saginaw, Michigan Beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away surrounded by his loved ones on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at the age of 68. Born to the late Anthony C. and Ruth (Seidel) Cherry, Sr. on July 8, 1945 in Saginaw, MI. He served in the US. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Anthony married Linda L. Gorski on April 17, 1971; she survives him. He retired from Saginaw Steering Gear/Delphi. Anthony loved coaching, watching sports and was involved with the Special Olympics. He especially loved spending time with his family. Surviving besides his wife Linda, are their children: Rachel (Michael) White, Lindsey (Justin) Jaime, Anthony D. Cherry; grandchildren: Esme, Georgia, Maya, Jude, Gabriel, Sebastian; his siblings: Michael (Jeannie) Cherry, Barbara (Terry) Street, Debra Cherry and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 7, 2014 at St. Helen Catholic Church, 2445 N. Charles St. Fr. Ronald Wagner will officiate with burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the auspices of V.F.W. Post #1859. Friends may visit with the family on Friday at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. from 5:00-9:00 p.m. where a prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Special Olympics. www.casefuneralhome.com
