Beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on Friday, January 14, 2022 at the age of 75 years.
The son of the late Bendal and Elvira (Alvarez) Sanches was born on October 15, 1946, in Carrollton, Michigan. He attended Saginaw High School. He married Amelia Trejo on April 4, 1964. She predeceased him on February 16, 2002. He retired from the City of Saginaw after 30 of service and was a member of St Anthony’s Church. He enjoyed time with all his grandkids and watching old western movies, over and over. In addition, he was an avid Detroit Lions, Red Wings, Pistons and New York Yankee’s fan.
Surviving are his children, Antonio (Karen) Sanchez, Jr., USMC Ret.of Kearney, MO, Sheila Sanchez (John) of Seguin, TX, Stephan B. Sanchez, Sr. (Lisa) of Gladstone MO, Melissa Sanchez of Saginaw, MI and LaToya (Ashley) Young of Kansas City, MO; 17 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; his sisters and brothers, Fela Yrlas, Mamie (Thomas) Davis, Benito (Mary) Sanches, Florentino (Julie) Sanches, Ernest (Rose) Sanches, Elvia (Arturo)Torrez and Alicia (Jesus) Munoz; many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Besides his wife and parents, he is predeceased by his son, Arthur Sanchez Sr., granddaughter, Stephanie M. Cozzolino, sisters, Jesusa Gonzales and Avelina Jones and brothers, Guadalupe, Jesse and Arturo Sanchez;
Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m, on January 28, 2022 at St. Francis of Assisi Parish (St. Anthony of Padua Church Site) 3680 S. Washington Road. Rev. Fr. Kevin Wojciechowski will officiate with burial to follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at W.L. Case & Company 4480 Mackinaw Road on January 27, 2022 from 4:00 p.m – 8:00 p.m. and again on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
