Antonio "Tony" "Yankee" C. Rodriguez

Rodriguez, Antonio C. "Tony" "Yankee" Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Monday, April 14, 2014 at Covenant Healthcare, age 75 years. Tony was born July 1, 1938 in Eagle Pass, Texas the son of the late Fermin and Margarita (Consemio) Rodriguez. He married Carmen Valdez April 5, 1958. She predeceased him February 8, 2002. Tony was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and served as an usher there for many years. He had been employed with General Motors, Malleable Iron for 28 years. Tony was a devoted family man and a good businessman. He is survived by three children, Cristina (Todd) Stacy, Ernestina Rodriguez and Alejandro F. Rodriguez; eight grandchildren, Antonio "Vivo", Daniel II, Daniella, Andrea, Eric, Antonio Miguel, Elleceia and Monte; eight great-grandchildren; three siblings, Juan (Juanita) Rodriguez, Dora Rodriguez and Yolanda Duranso; a sister-in-law, Rosie Rodriguez; many nieces, nephews and close friends. In addition to his wife, Tony was predeceased by two children, Daniel and Estella Rodriguez; three siblings, Miguel "Mike" Rodriguez, Marylou Clark and Fermin "Chico" Rodriguez; two brothers-in-law, Rudy Rodriguez and Russell Duranso. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 21, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 915 N. 6th St. Rev. Fr. Frank Voris will officiate with burial to follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at W. L. Case & Company, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Saturday from 2:00 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 8:00 p.m. where they may join the family to pray the rosary at 7:00 p.m. Friends may also call at church Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service.
