Passed away Monday, August 16, 2021, at her home. Age 85 years.
The daughter of the late Edna (Rexius) and George Willman was born September 28, 1935 in Saginaw, Michigan. She graduated from Hemlock High School. She married James K. Smith, March 19, 1955. He passed away November 27, 2019. Ardie enjoyed traveling, camping, and going to the Casino. She was an avid Detroit Tigers fan and loved her cats.
Surviving are two sons, one daughter and their spouses, Mark A. and Jane Smith, Kenneth J. and Shannon Smith, Tammy M. and Jeff Spraque; grandchildren, Emily Smith, Alan Smith, Lindsay Weisenbach, Kyle Smith, Allisha Jenkins, Ryan Smith, Morgan Smith, Dayton Sprague; three sisters, Christine (Ron) Richards; Peggy Crawford; Georgie Langworthy; a sister-in-law, Debra (Richard) Kaczor; several nieces and nephews.
A son, James K. Smith, and a granddaughter, Amber J. Sprague, have predeceased her.
The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. Julie Bailey will officiate with burial in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the chapel from 2:00-7:00 p.m. Monday, August 23, 2021 and then on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
