Ardith (Simon) Letzkus

Beloved mother, grandmother went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 26, 2021 at the age of 86 years.
The daughter of the late Raymond and Wilma (Schlichter) Simon was born on November 19, 1935 in Lawton, MI. She married Arnold J. Letzkus on September 3, 1955; he predeceased her on February 15, 1990. Ardith worked as a teacher for Saginaw Township Schools, and later as a nurse’s aide for Heartland Healthcare and Kimberely Quality Care. She was a member of The Woods Church of Warren, MI and enjoyed reading, playing Euchre, camping, and spending time with her family.
Surviving are two daughters and one son: Pamela S. Hoyt, Paula C. (George) Ballard, Terry A. (Cindy) Letzkus, grandchildren: Brittany DeHaven, Trent (Lauren) Letzkus, Kaitlin (Scotty) Sanford, Jarred Hoyt, Christian Hoyt, George Ballard IV, Christina Sierra three great-grandchildren: Dominic Sierra, Zaylee DeHaven, Arianna Rose, her brother Keith (Mary) Simon, and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Besides her husband, Arnold, and her parents she was predeceased by her brothers Dale Simon, R. Gary Simon, Richard Simon, her sister, Elaine Hoyt, and her son-in-law David Hoyt.
Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. Lauren Graca will officiate with burial at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral chapel on Tuesday from 3:00-7:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the Shiawassee Hospice House.
