Passed away Wednesday June 17, 2015 at Hoyt Nursing and Rehab Centre. Age 91 years. Arlene was born April 17, 1924 in Bay County, the daughter of the late Edwin and Clara (Meyers) Foerster. Arlene married Earl R. Bennett May 20, 1944. He predeceased her December 13, 2002. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, where she was very involved in many activities and committees. Arlene worked as a cook at Bethlehem School for 32 years. She was an avid gardener and loved to cook and bake for her family and friends. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Arlene loved playing cards and vacationing with family and friends. Surviving are her children; Ronald (Gabriela) Bennett, Timothy Bennett and Bruce Bennett; a daughter-in-law, Susan Bennett; eight grandchildren; Amber, Ryan, Schuyler, Kyle, Todd, Amy, Kori and Joel; 10 great-grandchildren; Adam, Jacob, Olivia, Emerson, Leala, Rhyan, Dane, Harper, Hattie and Collins; two brothers, Ivan (Irene) Foerster and Ken (Carolyn) Foerster; two sisters, Harriett Leinberger and Bernice Mehl; a sister-in-law, Hilda Bennett. She was predeceased by a son, David Bennett; a sister, Luella Savage and a brother, Nelson Foerster. Funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Tuesday June 23, 2015 at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church 808 Weiss Street. Rev. Charles F. Buckhahn will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the W.L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Monday from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and then at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
