Mervyn, Arlene J. (Hawley) Birch Run, Michigan Arlene peacefully passed away with her daughter, Barb, and her great-grandson, Jason, by her side on Friday, June 6, 2014 at Magnum Care of Saginaw. She lived an amazing 93 years, always with an open invite to her kitchen table. Arlene Hawley was born July 21, 1920 in West Branch, Michigan to the late Joseph and Jennie (Duvekott) Hawley. After many enjoyable years of being a cook, she had retired from Bridgeport Schools. She is survived by: a daughter, Barb Ramey; her grandchildren, Debi Dunn, Tim Hare, Denise Quackenbush, Kevan (Renee) Rogers, and Mickey (Pam) Rogers; many great-grandchildren including Jason (Jennie) Stevens, Brittani Dunn, Dawn (Roger) Yensen, Sherry Brown, Jeremy (Mary Jo) Hare, Jenifer Quackenbush, and Robert Quackenbush; many great, great-grandchildren; and a sister, Joann (Jim) Fortenberry. She was predeceased by her first husband, Albert Alexander, and her second husband, Lloyd Mervyn; a son, Edward Alexander; a daughter, Betty Hare; a grandson, Terry Dunn; and four brothers, Ascel Hawley, Sam Hawley, Bill Hawley, and Don Hawley. Cremation has taken place. Services are not planned at this time. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy may consider Southern Care Hospice.
