Arlene Marie Poyer

Arlene passed away on April 15, 2020 at Covenant Healthcare due to complications of the Covid- 19 virus. She was 92 years of age. Arlene married Donald Poyer on July 28, 1945 in Midland County, he preceded her in death in 2006.

For 12 years Arlene was a cook for Merrill Community Schools, she retired in 1986. She was a member of the Altar Society and Sacred Heart Church in Merrill for many years. Arlene enjoyed listening to country music, above all she loved spending time with her family and her grandchildren.
She is survived by her four children; Diana Coppens of Merrill, Donna Eurich of Lansing, Ronald (Judy) Poyer of Merrill and Carol (Eric) Rau of Atwater, Ohio. Thirteen grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews are surviving her. She is also survived by her sister Thelma Tolfree and two sisters- in- law June (Royal) Playford and Joan Poyer.

Arlene was predeceased by her infant daughter Anna, her sisters Florence Delaney and Eleanor Focht, her brothers John Breasbois, Henry Breasbois and twin brothers Clarence and Clare Breasbois. She was also preceded in death by her son- in- law Thomas Coppens and brother- in- law Arthur Tolfree.

In accordance with Arlene’s wishes cremation has taken place. Due to the worldwide health pandemic a memorial service will take place at a later date.
