Wahl, Arlene Ruth Saginaw, Michigan Arlene Ruth Wahl, 87, of Saginaw passed away November 6, 2013 at Saginaw Senior Care. She was born to the late Leonard and Norma Parsons on November 6, 1926 in Midland, Michigan. Arlene was the oldest of 12 children. Arlene graduated in 1946 from the Michigan School for the Deaf in Flint. After graduation she moved to Saginaw and while working at the Bancroft Hotel she met her future husband Donald. They were married in 1948 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Donald predeceased her in 1982 at the young age of 52. Donald and Arlene really enjoyed their freedom when he got his driver's license. They loved to visit family and go up north to be near the water. After Donald passed away Arlene continued to be on the move taking the bus daily to go shopping. Everyone in the stores knew Arlene and loved her and she them. Arlene also enjoyed sewing and remaking anything and everything. She loved her family so much and was proud of them all. Arlene is survived by 2 children: daughter Donna (Tom) Gray and Jim Wahl. 2 grandsons: Craig (Annette) Gray and Jeff (Carol) Gray and 6 great grandchildren: Caitlin and Bennett Gray, Spencer and Andrew Gray and Lexi and Adam Weeden. She is survived by 3 brothers: Kenneth (Joann), Gary (Jane) and Orie (Pat) and 3 sisters: Lorraine Geer, Wanda (Ted) Falkowski and Jackie Bedell. Also 2 sisters-in-law Helen Parsons and Shirley Parsons and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 3 brothers: Maynard, Leonard (Joe) and Clifford and 2 sisters Elaine Barber and Shirley Davis and 4 brothers-in-law: Fred Barber, Bill Davis, Gary Bedell and Jack Geer and a daughter-in-law, Cathy Murphy. Besides those previously mentioned, Arlene was also predeceased by her mother and Father-in-law Fred and Thelma Wahl and her brother and sister-in-law Bill and Pat Wahl. A special thanks to the staff at Saginaw Senior Care especially Mary Ann, Katrina and Dominique for their loving care of Arlene while she lived there, she considered it her home. Also Home and Hospice Advantage for their hospice care at the end. Arlene is at peace now and with her husband Don and all her loved ones who have gone before her. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 11, 2013 at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd., Rev. Paul Hinz will officiate with interpretation by Vicar Tyler Walworth with burial at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
