Arline M. Amy Lee of Bridgeport, Michigan
Beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away peacefully on Friday, January 29, 2021, at Chesaning Comfort Care. She was 102 years old. Arline Mable Klemmer was born on June 15, 1918, in Bad Axe, Michigan, to the late Edward and Sara (Newcomb) Klemmer. She was a proud graduate of Bad Axe High School. Following graduation, Arline enrolled in beauty school and become a licensed cosmetologist. She married Gilford Amy on June 8, 1939; he preceded her in death on May 19, 1979. Arline later married Robert F. Lee; he preceded her in death on August 6, 1993. She was the longtime owner and operator of Arline’s Beauty Salon. Arline was of the Methodist faith. She enjoyed camping, sewing, and knitting. What Arline truly loved was working at her salon; being present for the many conversations she shared with family, friends, and clients over the years. She treasured and cherished her children and grandchildren. Arline will forever be remembered for her selflessness and generosity to all she loved, as well as her indomitable yet beautiful creative spirit.
Surviving are four children: Ervin Amy of Burt; Fay (Chester) Harshman of Chesaning; Allen (Sandy) Amy of Bridgeport; Duane Amy of CA; nine grandchildren: Hollie (Keith) Baron, Carey (Kim) Waldie, Lisa (Ryan) Zaremba, Jessica (Jose) DeLaCruz, Lindsay Amy, Timmy Amy, Joey Amy, Donna Amy, and Ervin Amy Jr. ; 9 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are many extended family members and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by a son, Gilford Amy; granddaughter, Bridgette Amy.
