Arthur W. Tolfree, Sr.

Arthur W. Tolfree, Sr. Saginaw, Michigan Passed away at home on Sunday, January 1, 2017, age 86 years. He was born on December 11, 1930, son of the late Roy and Ada (Miller) Tolfree, in Saginaw. Arthur retired from Dow Chemical after 38 1/2 years of service. He loved to hunt, go camping with his family and enjoyed gardening. Arthur enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren and great grandchildren in sporting events with his wife Diane. Surviving are his wife, Thelma (Diane), children, Arthur W. (Julie) Tolfree, Kathy (Russ) Allen, Rick (Sheila) Tolfree, Ken (Dort) Tolfree and Joe (Pat) Tolfree; nine grandchildren, Carrie, Chad, Lacy, David, Jacqlyn, Amy, Bridget, Nate and Nick; 16 great grandchildren; his brothers, Eugene Tolfree, Lyle (Bernice) Tolfree and John Tolfree. He was predeceased by his brother and sisters, Roy Tolfree, Renas Shane, Wilma Buckley, Evelyn Zimmerman and Shirley Robbins. Memorial service will take place at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at W. L. Case and Company, 125 E. Saginaw, Merrill. Chaplain John Elledge will officiate. Friends may visit with the family from 12:00 Noon until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider Grace Hospice.
