Audrey Ann Fobear of Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at Covenant HealthCare – Cooper. She was 89 years old. Audrey Ann Wenzel was born on June 17, 1931, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Martin and Luella (Leland) Wenzel. She married the love of her life, Floyd Fobear Jr. on July 23, 1949, in Saginaw, Michigan; he preceded her in death on August 27, 2003. As a young woman, Audrey worked as a waitress for 27 years at Model Bakery. She was a former member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Audrey enjoyed playing Bingo, crocheting and working on puzzles. She was an exceptional baker, knowing exactly how many cups of love, pinches of care, and dashes of kindness were needed to make something taste great. Above all Audrey treasured and cherished her family.

Surviving are two daughters: Diane (Ron) Gosselin of Bridgeport; LouAnn (Dave) Edel of Auburn; two granddaughters: Tiffany Wright and her special friend, Tom Gravlin of Auburn; Brooke (Alan) Yates of Mt. Pleasant; one great-grandson, Hunter James Yates; sister, Betty Kneuss of Saginaw; two brothers-in-law: Jim (Sandra) Fobear and Gene (Esther) Fobear; two sisters-in-law, Donna Ader and Donna Fobear. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by several brothers and sister.

A Memorial Service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 19, 2021, at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road. Rev. Fr. Steve Gavit will officiate. Honoring Audrey’s wishes cremation has taken place. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral chapel on Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service. In accordance with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services Ordinance, building capacity is limited to 25 persons, face masks are required, and social distancing encouraged.
