Aveary R. Clark

Clark, Aveary Roy, Jr. Saginaw, MI Passed away at St. Mary's Hospital on Saturday, October 26, 2013, at the age of 72 years. Aveary R. Clark, Jr., was born in Saginaw on March 19, 1941, to Doris (Swarthout) and the late Aveary P. Clark. He married Becky Rigg on May 6, 1961. She survives him. Aveary was a 1959 graduate of Arthur Hill High School and later obtained an Associates Degree in mechanical engineering from Delta College. He established A & B Equipment in 1975 and operated that business for many years. He was an active member of Ames United Methodist Church and the Gideon's International Society, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Aveary was a wonderful family man who especially loved his grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Aveary is survived by: three children, Patricia (Doug) Gruber, Scott (Charee) Clark, and David Clark; ten grandchildren, Kayla, Celeste, Chad, Kyle, Kaitlyn, Caleb, Kaycee, Alexander, Noah, and Nikole; four siblings, Barbara Kinney, Larry Clark, Pamela Lapinsky, and Roger Clark; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Bruce Clark. Funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at Ames United Methodist Church, 801 State Street. Rev. Mark A. Karls will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call on the family at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd., from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday and then at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
