Barbara E. "Bobbie" Fleming

Fleming, Barbara E. (Bobbie) Merrill, Michigan Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at Stratford Pines in Midland. Age 83 years. Bobbie was born March 13, 1933 in Mt. Haley Township to the late Eugene and Florence (Breasbois) Valliere. She graduated from Sacred Heart in Merrill and was then employed by U.S. Graphite for 15 years. She married Richard F. Fleming September 17, 1966 and he survives her. She was a member of St. John XXIII, St. Patrick Parish. Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters and four sons, Colleen M. (Ronald) Miller, Merrill; Richard E. Fleming, Merrill; Father Thomas J. (T.J.) Fleming, Mt. Pleasant; Sharon J. Fleming, Merrill; Christopher J. (Lisa) Fleming, Midland; Scott M. (Julie) Fleming, Merrill; eight grandchildren, Melissa (Lucas) Grubaugh, Emily (Ken) Hoyt, Sarah, Nicholas, Elizabeth, Danielle, Joshua and Noah Fleming; six great-grandchildren, Kyle Williams, Alexandra and Samantha Grubaugh, Jacob Fleming, J.W. and Luke Hoyt; one sister, Joan (Daniel) Dubay, Merrill; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four brothers and six sisters. The family would like to thank the staff at Stratford Pines for their loving care. Funeral liturgy will take place at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 3, 2016 at St. John XXIII, St. Patrick Catholic Church, 4708 Meridian Rd., Merrill. Her son, Fr. T. J. Fleming, will officiate with burial to follow in St. Patrick Cemetery. Friends may visit with family at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 125 E. Saginaw, Merrill from 4:00 9:00 p.m. Friday where a vigil service will take place at 8:00 p.m. with Fr. Robert DeLand officiating. They may then call at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of funeral liturgy. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a memorial garden at Stratford Pines c/o of the family.
