Barbara A. Majoros (Stomos)

Majoros, Barbara A. Largo, Florida –

Barbara passed away peacefully on July 3rd, 2022 at Arden Courts at the age of 85. Barbara was born on September 1, 1936 in Bay City Michigan, the youngest daughter of the late James P. Stomos and Mary Stomos, sister of Bessie Skafidas and Catherine Sheppell. Barbara earned her Bachelor of Arts degree and Teacher's Certificate from the University of Michigan. A voracious reader with an inquisitive nature she pursued her interests in art, business, education, music, travel and yoga with a passion. She owned and operated Arcadia Square, Ltd., a ladies ready to wear boutique. Barbara was dedicated to the happiness and support of her husband, children, grandchildren, godchildren and many friends. Barbara loved to entertain and socialize and was a valued friend to all she interacted with in her Saginaw, MI, Scottsdale, AZ, Northport, MI and Largo, FL communities.

Barbara is survived by her husband Themistocles L. Majoros and their four children and spouses, Lee (Brenda) Majoros, Grosse Pointe Park, Michigan, Rebecca (James) Huskisson, Greensboro, Georgia, Matthew (Kandace) Majoros, Fort Collins, Colorado, and Dr. Katherine (Brian) Wilson, Largo, Florida, and 8 grandchildren.

The funeral service will take place take place at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 18, 2022 at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church. Burial to follow a few days later in Northport, Michigan. Friends may call at W.L. Case & Company, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Saginaw on Sunday, July 17, 2022 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. where they may join the family for a Trisagion service at 7:00 p.m. Friends may also call at church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a donation to St. Demetrios Endowment Fund and/or the Leelanau Conservancy.
