Barbara P. Greif

Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister and friend passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at the age of 83 years. The daughter of the late Durant and Pauline (Praay) Haynes was born on January 27, 1934 in Saginaw. She married Robert J. Greif on November 19, 1955; he predeceased her on January 12, 1988. Barbara worked for the Red Horse Bar in Saginaw. She enjoyed cooking, playing cards, especially euchre, painting ceramics, photography, and listening to her sons band perform. Barbara loved to spend time with her family and made everyone she met feel as if they were family. Surviving are her children: Debbie (John) Newton, Bobby (Cathy) Greif, five grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren; her siblings: Marge Ballien, Pat (Ron) Shryock, Sandra (Jack) Locke, Donald (Fran) Haynes and many nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends. She was predeceased by a sister and two infant brothers: Betty Skinner, James and Robert Haynes. The family would like to thank the staff at McLaren Hospice for all the wonderful care and support they gave Barbara and her family. Cremation has taken place, a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date this fall.
