Barbara “Barb” L. Cramer
Saginaw, Michigan
Beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at New Hope Valley, Saginaw, with her loving family at her side; at the age of 85.
The daughter of the late Edward Anklam and Nettie “Peggy” (Chalenko) Gill, Barb was born on March 20, 1936 in Saginaw, Michigan. She attended Saginaw High School. Barb married Richard “Dick” L. Cramer on December 11, 1954 in Saginaw, Michigan; he preceded her in death on January 7, 2016. She was employed by the Bavarian Inn and Cinderella Pools prior to her retirement. Barb was a member of American Lutheran Church, Sun City, Arizona. Barb and Dick spent their retirement in Sun City West, Arizona. She was an avid golfer and reader. Barb was involved in numerous organizations and clubs. She enjoyed making various crafts. Above all, Barb cherished the time with her loving family and many friends.
She is survived by four sons and their families: Richard L. (Rick) and JoAnn of Mt. Pleasant and their children: Jennifer (Ryan) Maher, Samantha (Billy) Merithew and Mitch Cramer-Wieferich; Edward D. and Marcia of Saginaw and their children: Lisa (Brian) Kaiser, Scott Cramer, Rachel (Zach) Holland and Haley (Summer) Hart; Craig A. and Joan of Saginaw and their children: Jamie (Devon) Franz, Christopher (Cassie Zubek) and Sarah (John Jeffery); and Ronald P. and Elizabeth (Liz) of Dublin, Ohio and their children: Carrie and Ryan Cramer. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren: Lincoln and Leighton Maher, Charlie and Andi Merithew, Brooks Hart and Madilyn Franz. Also surviving are her sisters-in-law: Bonnie Weider and Barbara (Donald) Sutto. Many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends also survive Barb. Besides her husband and her parents; Barb was preceded in death by her sister: Beverly Jean Connell; and her grandson: Matthew Cramer.
A graveside service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 18, 2021, at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, 950 N. Center Road, Saginaw, Michigan. Rev. Ted McCulloch will officiate. Friends may visit the family from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, Saginaw. In accordance with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services ordinance, indoor capacity is limited to 25 persons, face coverings are required, and social distancing encouraged.
