Rabie, Beatta M. Saginaw, Michigan Died Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at Health Source, Saginaw. Age 85 years. Beatta was born in Saginaw and was a graduate of SS Peter and Paul High School, St. Mary's Hospital School of Nursing and Mt. Carmel Mercy Hospital School of Anesthesia in Detroit. She practiced anesthesia as a CRNA at St. Mary's Hospital until 1968 when she accepted a teaching position at Hurley Hospital in Flint. She moved to Stuart, Virginia, in 1974, where she obtained her Nurse Practitioner license and practiced anesthesia at the local hospital until her retirement in 1989. She moved back to Saginaw in 2006. She was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church. Beatta was predeceased by her parents, Wilfred and Eleanor Rabie. She is survived by her sister, Joan Leppien; her loyal friend, Anita Jo Cunningham; four nephews, Dennis (Charlene) Rogers, Rich (Christine) Rogers, Dan Leppien, and Tom Leppien; one niece, Pamela Kalin; many cousins, grandnieces and grandnephews, and friends. Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 26, 2013, at St. Helen Catholic Church, 2445 N. Charles Street, where her family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. Friday until the time of Mass. Rev. Fr. Ronald Wagner and Msgr. Robert Lunsford, Beatta's cousin, will officiate.
