Bernard Carl Mayville, Jr.

Mayville, Bernard Carl Brant, Michigan formerly of Flint, MI Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 15, 2013, at Covenant Cooper at the age of 76 years. The son of the late Bernard and Alice (Ostrander) Mayville was born on September 25, 1937, in Flint. He graduated from Kearsley High School, the class of 1955. He married Gloria Tebo on April 18, 1955; she survives him. He retired from General Electric in 1986 after 17 years of service. Bernard was a member of Community Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, and was an avid outdoorsman. He also loved his Michigan Sports teams. Bernard especially enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren Surviving besides his wife Gloria, are their children: Bernard (Josie) Mayville III, Lynnette (Brion) Carter, Kathy (George "Tom") Gaines, Donna Fox and fianc Steve Berg, Allyson (Andrew) Burggraff, grandchildren: Bernard IV, Paige, Bethany, Charity, Melody, Tiffany, Jaron, Cason, Nolon, Kara, Kala, Kyla, Kami, Kasi, Kellen, Ashley, Andrew, Anna, Aaron, Daniel, Bradley, Andrew, great-grandchildren: Jordan, Annabelle, Tyler, Kalyn, Samantha, Mason, Stephen, Gage, Liliana, Hailey, and McKenzie. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins and dear friends Duane and Barbara Bonner. He was predeceased by two brothers, George and Richard Mayville and a sister, Marge Fenwick. Funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 18, 2013, at Community Baptist Church, 8331 Gratiot, Saginaw, MI. Dr. Douglas R. Jackson and Rev. Andrew Burggraff will officiate with burial at Flint Memorial Park. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd., Saginaw, MI 48609 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. and on Friday at church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
