Bernard William Kade Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Monday, December 10, 2012, at his home. Age 78 years. The son of the late Hattie (Diener) and Louis Kade was born October 3, 1934 in Hemlock, Michigan. He married Dorothy Carole Frazier, June 4, 1954. She survives him. He had been employed by Combustion Engineering and later by General Motors, Buick Motor Div. in Flint retiring with 17 years of service. He was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, the Eagles Club of Albright Shores, MI. and the Polish Falcons Club. He was a welder, enjoyed tinkering in his garage, fishing and gardening. Surviving besides his wife, Dorothy Carole, are four children and their spouses, Bernard Kade Jr., Clio, MI; Debbie and Hank Dietrich, Atlanta, MI; Glenn and Kate Kade, Grand Haven, MI; Danny and Gerdi Kade, Regensburg, Germany; twelve grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; two sisters, Mildred Winslow and her husband, Melvin; Vera Anderson; two sisters-in-law, Jeanne Kade and Doris Kade; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a granddaughter and three brothers, Elmer, Harold, and Marvin Kade. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 15, 2012, at Bethany Lutheran Church, 5051 McCarty Rd. Saginaw. Rev. Michael Nitz will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. from 2:00-5:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Friday and then at the Church from 10:00 a.m. Saturday until the time of the funeral service.
