Bernice M. Young

Young, Bernice M. Hemlock, Michigan Our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother passed away Sunday, November 23, 2014, at the age of 67 years. Bernice was born May 17, 1947, in Saginaw to the late Walt and Bessie (Ruse) Basner. She married Lawrence Young on August 3, 1963; he predeceased her March 4, 2012. She enjoyed reading, going to church, camping, and fishing. She is survived by her children, Robert (Tamara) Young, Brian (Ann) Young, Kimberly Cheslik; 10 grandchildren, Trevor, Makayla, Brittney, Derrick, Scott, Amanda, Nicholas, Kassie, T.J., and Kerrigan; her siblings, Judy (Gerald) Vincent, Dorothy Unger, Arthur Basner, Lottie Brimley. She was predeceased by her son-in-law, Thomas Cheslik; and siblings, Doris Baker and Ralph Basner. Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2014, at W.L. Case & Company 201 N. Miller Road. Rev. Clayton Beck will officiate with burial to follow in Richland Township Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
