Bertha Brenay Morr, 93, of Burt, Michigan passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at Covenant Glen in Frankenmuth, Michigan, surrounded by her children. She was born on March 7, 1931, to the late Norman and Millie (Dodge) Brenay. She was married to George Morr Sr, who predeceased her in 1998.
Bertha is survived by her four children: Janet (Gregg) Schluckebier of Burt, Donna Wilkinson of Bridgeport, Deb (Rick) Harrington of Burt, and George (Maria) Morr of Burt. Also surviving her are sisters Laura Hildinger of Saginaw and Frances Iwen of Burt, eleven grandchildren: Jeff Wilkinson, Greg Brueck, Shelly Leach, Rick Harrington, Matt Harrington, Troy Harrington, James Wilkinson, Andrea Viar, Tim Brueck, Jason Morr, Justin Morr, 29 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson, along with many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sisters, Goldie Specht, Marie Axtell, Norma Bushor, and one son-in-law, Jim Wilkinson.
Bertha was a faithful and founding member of Saginaw Valley United Pentecostal Church. She served in many capacities over the years including Sunday School Teacher, Ladies Leader, Bible Reading Coordinator, and “The Card Lady.” Only eternity will reveal the multitude of lives she touched.
Visitation will be held at W.L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 5700 Dixie Highway, Saginaw, MI, 48601, on Saturday, October 19, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at Saginaw Valley United Pentecostal Church, 7877 Bell Rd, Birch Run, MI, on Sunday, October 20, with visitation at 2:00 pm and service beginning at 3:00 pm. Pastor Kevin Leaman will officiate. Interment will be at Cook Cemetery in Taymouth Township at a private ceremony on Monday. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in her honor to Saginaw Valley United Pentecostal Church.
