Bessie H. Simonovic

Bessie H. Simonovic Alma, Michigan Formerly of Wheeler, Michigan Passed away Monday, September 18, 2017, at Mid-Michigan Medical Center, Midland, MI. Age 95 years. The daughter of the late Martin and Katherine (Lipa) Prikasky was born January 10, 1922 in Wheeler, Michigan. She married Charles Simonovic, August 18, 1945. He passed away October 20, 2000. Mr. and Mrs. Simonovic engaged in farming in Wheeler. Bessie was a member of St. John XXIII, St. Patrick, Ryan Church and its Altar Society for over 60 years. She enjoyed polka dancing, cooking for her family, and loved animals. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Lana and Dennie Alvis; her daughter-in-law, Brenda Simonovic; five grandchildren and their spouses, Amy and Scott Fleming; Robin and Jeremy Doan; Chris and Joy Alvis; Drew Simonovic and Jenny; Bree Simonovic; her great grandchildren, Tayton, Ainsley, Mason, Dawson, Adelyn, Johnny, Sophie and Addie; several nieces and nephews. Her son, Dennis Simonovic, two grandsons, Aaron and Adam Simonovic, one brother and three sisters have predeceased her. The funeral liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 23, 2017, at St. John XXIII, St. Patrick, Ryan. Rev. Dennis Kucharczyk will officiate with burial in St. Patrick Cemetery. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, in Merrill from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Friday where a vigil service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friends may then call at the church from 10:00 a.m. Saturday until the time of the funeral liturgy.
