Bettie L. Lyle

Passed away peacefully on Monday, January 4, 2021 at Covenant HealthCare - Harrison. At the age of 86 years.
The daughter of the late Frank and Julia Plaskewicz, Bettie was born on December 2, 1934 in Carrollton, Michigan. She graduated from Arthur Hill High School. Bettie married Ronald E. Lyle on August 24, 1957; he preceded her in death on March 8, 1991. Bettie worked for Michigan Bell Telephone Company, or AT&T for 37 years of loyal and dedicated service until she retired in 1987. She was an accomplished bowler and was one of the first women inducted into the Saginaw Bowling Hall of Fame in 1982.
Surviving are one brother and his wife: Ronald and Maureen Plaskewicz, Saginaw; three very dear nephews: Christopher (Summer) Plaskewicz, Fort Wayne, Indiana; Mark Bocker, Michael Bocker; four great-nieces and nephews: Skyler, Storm, Justice and Zachary. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Besides her husband and her parents; Bettie is preceded in death by two sisters and one brother: Charlotte Ryder; Jean Yeschick, Charles Plaskewicz.
Honoring Bettie’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 15, 2021, at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, Saginaw. Rev. Julie Bailey will officiate. Friends may visit from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral chapel. In accordance with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services ordinance, indoor capacity is limited to 25 persons, face coverings are required, and social distancing encouraged. We appreciate everyone’s efforts to reduce the spread of covid-19 in our community. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to American Diabetes Association or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
