Beloved sister, aunt and friend passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at the age of 86 years.
Betty D. Fehrenbach was born on July 21, 1933 in Saginaw County to the late Joseph and Loretta (Weber) Fehrenbach. She married the love of her life, John G. Hoffmann on May 26, 1956 in Bridgeport, MI at Faith Lutheran Church. He predeceased her earlier this year on January 1, 2019. Betty supported John and his business, Dixie Cut Stone for over forty years. She also worked for Delco Moraine NDH plant, retiring in 1989 after 35 years of service. Betty was one of the founding families of Faith Lutheran Church, where she was very active on the ladies guild, alter guild and sang in the choir. She also quilted hundreds of cuddle blankets which she donated to several medical facilities for infants. Betty and John enjoyed traveling upstate to their cottage as well as nationally and abroad.
Surviving are her sister, Judy (Bill) Rosencrans of Saginaw, two brothers-in-laws: David (Mary) Hoffmann of Bridgeport and Lee (Barb) Hoffmann of Bridgeport; her sister-in-law Dolores Fehrenbach of Saginaw. Also surviving are many loved nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and her and Johns beloved cat, Molly.
Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her sister Shirley (Rich) Machleid; and a brother, Jack Fehrenbach and two sisters-in-laws Doris (Al) Fowler and Evelyn (Gerald) Knoll.
Funeral will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 23, 2019 at Faith Lutheran Church, 4241 Williamson Rd., Bridgeport. Pastor Tim Behnke will officiate. Private burial will take place at Pine Grove Cemetery. Friends may visit with family at the church on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Faith Lutheran Church and the Bridgeport Beautification Program.
