Betty J. Hauk

Loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother, Passed away Thursday, March 28, 2024, at Hoyt Nursing and Rehab Center at the age of 101 years.

The daughter of the late Henry W. and Caroline (Beckler) Prueter was born on January 14, 1923, in Saginaw.  She married Robert R. Hauk on January 21, 1944; he predeceased her on April 27, 2012 after 68 years of marriage. She worked as a clerk for Consumer’s Power.   Betty was an active member of Countryside Trinity Church.  She also was involved with the DAV Auxiliary, Presbyterian Women’s Association, was a Girl Scout Leader and PTA parent. She enjoyed knitting, sewing and crafts. She most especially cherished time spent with her family.

Surviving are her children: Randy and Patricia Hauk; Ricky and Lynn Hauk; Brenda North; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Kevin Hauk; Steven and Candice Babcock; David and Judy Babcock; Amy and Aaron Crabtree; Ryan North; Kelly and Dave Stewart; Cheri and Kevin Schopp; a grandson-in-law, Scott McGrandy; many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and relatives.  Besides her parents and husband, Betty was predeceased by a daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Gerald Babcock; a son-in-law, Lawrence North; a granddaughter, Michelle McGrandy; her siblings: Nora Rethman, Russell Prueter, Caroline Kurek, Robert Prueter, Arthur Prueter, Beatrice DeCaire, Marie Murphy, Evelyn Beyerlein, Harold Prueter.

Funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 6, 2024, at W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd.
