Betty J. Kneuss (Wenzel)
Saginaw, Michigan
Beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away on Monday, July 26, 2021, at Brian's House, with her family at her side; at the age of 96 years.
The daughter of the late Martin and Leulla (Leland) Wenzel, Betty was born on April 28, 1925 in Saginaw. She married Alvin A. Kneuss, Sr. on October 18, 1947 in Saginaw; he preceded her in death on December 29, 1993. During World War II, Betty worked on the assembly line as "Rosie the Riveter". She was also a sales representative at a dress shop. She enjoyed crocheting, puzzles, coloring books, and going to the casino. Above all, Betty cherished the time with her family.
Surviving are her son, daughter and their spouses: Alvin, Jr. and Debbie Kneuss, Sharon Whittier; five grandchildren: Matthew Kneuss, Lisa (Steve) Conley, Heather (Tony) Bihn, Beth (Eric) Federspiel, Michael (Autumn) Whittier; eight great-grandchildren: Logan, Jerry, Abby, Charlie, Kylie, Allissa, Lucas, Emily; and her fur baby: Dottie. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Besides her husband and her parents, Betty was preceded in death by ten brothers and sisters.
A funeral service will take place at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, Saginaw. Rev. James Doran will officiate with burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit the family from 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, and from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service on Thursday at the funeral chapel.
